James Augustine Aloysius Joyce (2 February 1882 – 13 January 1941) was an Irish novelist and poet, considered to be one of the most influential writers in the modernist avant-garde of the early 20th century. Joyce is best known for Ulysses (1922), a landmark work in which the episodes of Homer's Odyssey are paralleled in an array of contrasting literary styles, perhaps most prominent among these the stream of consciousness technique he perfected. Other major works are the short-story collection Dubliners (1914), and the novel A Portrait of the Artist as a Young Man (1916).

James Joyce The Ultimate Collection eBook James Joyce
I am reading Ulysses right now....Joyce writes prose like Whitman writes poetry......he is the master beyond compare.....anyone that wants to read how a master can turn a phrase.....use initial rime and other poetic devices while writing prose will appreciate this novel. The collection of Joyce's work is a must for anyone that studies literature. A MUST for those studying literature and wanting to write themselves one day... There is so much characterizations and imagery this collection is rent with material to study.Product details

James Joyce The Ultimate Collection eBook James Joyce Reviews
Classic Irish author. A must read.
I try for the 100th time to read Ulysses"
An excellent timely writer - his work is as fresh now as when he penned it.
I am both reading and listening to audio of James Joyce The Ultimate Collection. One of the books, The Dubliners, a series of short pieces, is both easy and pleasant to read, entertaining and evocative. He is an extremely talented writer and observer of the Irish scene. The audio books are free, but difficult to download, but I did manage to download the Dubliners, and now I can hear the lovely Irish brogue, so I am happy.
Everything written by the most interesting author of the twentieth century. And for 99 cents. What more could you want?
I purchased this so that I could read along as I listen to my audiobooks of Joyce from Audible.com. My favorite narrator is Tadhg Hynes and the combination of reading and listening is a total pleasure. Highly recommended.
Read all this in college and for a few years after. Now a digital copy for .99? It's almost criminal. But I love him so.
